Recipe: Avocado and Sprout Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 4 slices whole-wheat bread, lightly toasted
  • 1 Tbl low-fat ranch dressing
  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled, pitted and thinly sliced
  • ½ c alfalfa sprouts
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 2 large slices tomato

Instructions

  1. Lightly toast bread. Evenly spread ranch dressing over 1 side of each slice of bread. Top with avocado slices, alfalfa sprouts, lettuce and tomatoes. Close sandwiches, slice diagonally and serve immediately.
